Most films start on a piece of paper, but they end on the big screen. This workshop deals with the transformation that needs to take place in order to translate the written words into emotional images.

We will talk about genres and their conventions, about styles and floor plans, but most important, we will talk about the feeling of a scene, and how to capture it.

I will give some hands on tools that have helped me greatly in my career as a cinematographer, and we will discuss different solutions and the emotional impacts for the scene.

Like with a good dialog, it's not about what is being said, but what's in between the lines.

This workshop takes about 4-5 hours and is suited for about 20 participants or less.
