Cinematography is writing with light. This is the mantra of Vittorio Storaro – one of the great masters of light.
This workshop looks at the principles of film lighting, and even though it takes a life time to master the art of lighting, participants will get a solid understanding of the many aspects of lighting for drama. We will discuss theory of lighting, see examples and learn about the different types of lamps.
This is a hands on workshop, and requires film equipment, lights and some sort of studio (large dark room). This workshop can be scaled from 1 – 3 days and is designed for a maximum of 15 participants.
