Music talks at the Book Café

Since it was founded by Paul Brickhill in 1993, the Book Café has become the cradle for many established musicians in Zimbabwe, and apart from being a busy live venue for music, the Book Café has also become a hub for many other Zimbabwean artists.

Nothing could be more natural than recording a live on tape music talk show at the Book Café. The show is hosted by award winning standup comedian Carl Joshua Ncube and consists of live music and 2 sessions of discussion between the act and the host. The conversation takes place in the middle of the audience, who is also allowed to pose a couple of questions to the musicians.

We have so far successfully recorded a pilot with the famous Victor Kunonga as musical act, and we were surprised at how well the concept worked. We are now very confident to be able to find broadcasters for the show.
